Music Therapy

Music, they say, to soothe the savage beast, and that is so true when you consider how the music works its magic in our body rhythms bring harmony, literally, back into the body.

A story in the Bible, a king named Saul, who had an evil spirit that tormented him and make him feel bad. It has been suggested to find someone who could play the harmonica there, then the evil spirit would leave and King Saul would feel better. So they searched and found a young shepherd named David and asked him to play for Saul when the evil spirit came upon him.

When the spirit of God came upon Saul, David took his harp and play. Then Saul's relief did not come he would feel better, and the evil spirit would leave him. 1 Samuel 16:23 (KJV)

The researchers found that some of the music are uplifting and soul of others. While you might think that the way to relax would be to listen to your favorite rock group, are sadly mistaken. This will only speed up the engine and give more stressful than when you started. It is not the way of personal harmony must come from a very special kind of music. Not all the music relaxes you must believe yourself, more relaxed, slow breathing is deeper and the music has a relaxing effect on you.

The composer and music researcher, Dr. Stephen Halpern, "The music does not meet all that is heard. If I had to have ear plugs, even when cold" feel music, "he explains." It is because Music is vibration and these vibrations affect heart rate, blood flow, brain waves -. your body chemistry.

So is our body's responses, we can tell if the music is very relaxing for us or not.

To really enjoy the music, it's better if you can get yourself focused on it from a sitting or lying down and really sink in.

I understand that there are times when you just can not do this and just listen and do their work is better than nothing, but it has the same effect as you absorb it.

Personally, I just run a hot bath with my favorite flavor of lavender. Can I light candles around the bathroom and turn off all lights. This is my moment where I can relax and lay the worries of the day. In the lounge, right next to the bathroom I have beautiful music classical or new age playing softly. As it permeates the room, mingled with the smell of my bath and candles, I'm in another world, totally relaxed without a care in the world.

Music, in my opinion, is the treatment most influential and powerful than they can afford. Affects not only his soul but his body and mind as well.
